Day 16 · King James Version
Today’s Scripture
Luke 18:1 (KJV)
“men ought always to pray, and not to faint;”
A Message for Your Heart
Some prayers are answered differently than we expected, and others seem to remain open for a long time. Discouragement can whisper that praying is pointless.
Jesus taught His disciples to pray persistently and not lose heart. Persistent prayer is not a technique for forcing an outcome; it is an expression of trust in the One to whom we pray.
Return to God with your need. Pray with honesty and humility. Continue to act responsibly while you wait, and let prayer shape your heart as well as your requests.
A Moment to Reflect
What concern can you bring to God again today?
Today’s Prayer
Father, teach me to pray without giving up. Align my desires with Your will and sustain my hope. Amen.
Carry This With You
I can keep praying without pretending to know the outcome.
