Day 06 · King James Version
Today’s Scripture
Psalm 56:8 (KJV)
“put thou my tears into thy bottle:”
A Message for Your Heart
Some grief is quiet. Tears may come when the house is still, or they may remain hidden behind a brave face.
In Psalm 56, David speaks to God while afraid and opposed. His image of tears being kept before God is deeply personal: his suffering is not meaningless or unseen.
You do not need to disguise sorrow in prayer. Name it. If grief feels too heavy, welcome the support of trustworthy people as well. God’s care does not require you to suffer alone.
A Moment to Reflect
What sorrow would you like to speak aloud to God today?
Today’s Prayer
Father, You see the tears I cannot explain. Comfort me, sustain me, and help me receive the care I need. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Carry This With You
No tear is too small to bring before God.
