Silence can feel uncomfortable when we are accustomed to constant noise. We may reach for distraction before our thoughts have settled.
Psalm 46 calls people to recognize the LORD’s sovereignty. Being still is more than finding a quiet room; it is laying down the illusion that we control everything.
Set aside a few minutes without a screen. Read the verse slowly. Remember who God is, then return to your responsibilities with a humbler, steadier heart.
