The Grace to Forgive — Daily Devotional 12

The Grace to Forgive — Daily Devotional 12

Day 12 · King James Version

Today’s Scripture

Ephesians 4:32 (KJV)

“And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another,”

A Message for Your Heart

Forgiveness can be hard, especially when a wound is deep. It cannot always be rushed into a tidy feeling.

Ephesians calls believers to kindness, tenderheartedness, and forgiveness, grounded in the forgiveness God gives in Christ. Forgiving does not mean pretending wrong was harmless or removing necessary boundaries.

Ask the Lord to guard your heart from bitterness. Where reconciliation is safe and appropriate, pursue it wisely. Where harm continues, seek protection and counsel while choosing not to nourish revenge.

A Moment to Reflect

What would a wise, honest step toward forgiveness look like?

Today’s Prayer

Father, give me a tender heart and sound judgment. Help me forgive without denying truth or neglecting safety. Amen.

Carry This With You

Forgiveness can be practiced with wisdom and truth.
