Weekly Memory Verse – Acts 17:11 (KJV)
These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all
readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.
Hear the full verse; echo short unchanged phrases. No speed or recitation pressure.

1 / COMIC CLUE TRAIL
Say: Follow the three pictures, then check the
passage.
Do: Write one clue letter below each panel.
Check: Panels 1-3: B, C, A. Arrival: Acts 17:10;
teaching/listening and searching: 17:11. The
pictures illustrate the summary; appearances are
imagined.
2 / THREE BIBLE CLUES
Say: Each answer is waiting in the reading.
Do: Fill three short answers; share a clue with a
partner.
Check: BEREA (v. 10); SILAS (v. 10); DAILY (v. 11).
Accept spoken spelling; show the first letter if
needed.
3 / CONNECT THE ACTIONS
Say: Which ending belongs with each beginning?
Do: Write the matching letter, then retell the
three ideas.
Check: 1-B; 2-C; 3-A. Receiving with readiness
and searching are reported in v. 11; many
believing is reported in v. 12. The connections are
a learning summary, not an exact Scripture
quotation.
4 / CHECK BEFORE YOU SHARE
Say: Build a sensible two-step plan.
Do: Number two steps and say why the remaining
step should wait.
Check: A helpful order: open the quoted passage
in the KJV; read surrounding verses; then ask for
help if unclear. In the printed choices, number the
second choice 1 and the first 2. Forwarding first is
not helpful.
5 / REMEMBER
Say: read the exact verse on W1 and CG1.
Do: partners echo one unchanged phrase at a
time; join phrases if ready.
Check: use the printed KJV words. Hearing and
joining in are valid participation.
PLAY TOGETHER
Partners retell one comic panel each, then check
activity 1 and the passage. Swap roles.
Check: Use activity 1’s panel key. Accept faithful
summaries; pictured appearances are not verified
Bible facts.
FLEXIBLE LEARNING
For support: pair-read, read directions aloud, offer
pointing or a scribe; solve the first clue together.
Do not score speed or handwriting.
Extra challenge, optional: Why do we need both a
willing mind and careful Bible reading? Give one
short example.
Answer: Welcome teaching without refusing to
listen, then compare what is said with Scripture.
Example: check a shared verse in its context.
SHORT LESSON / HOMESCHOOL
20-minute essentials: welcome/story 3; shared
reading 5; activities 1 and 4 for 6; verse 4;
recap/prayer 2. Other puzzles are optional.
30-60 minutes: add remaining puzzles, partner
retelling, the game and fuller reading; include
breaks.
TAKE HOME & CHECK
Tell someone the two visitors’ names. Together,
find the word daily in Acts 17:11.
Quick check: Can the learner name the two
visitors and say what the people searched?
Optional praise: a spoken thank-you to God; no
music required.
Teacher reflection: enjoyed / needed help / revisit.
Next time: ______________
ACCURACY & CARE
Do not portray questions as unbelief or say a
teacher must never be questioned. The passage
does not identify every scroll they consulted.
